How to install Commandos 2 Men of Courage in Win7
And how to Play Online!
First u need to find and dust off your old CD case for the game.
Insert CD an start Installation as normal.
Skip DirectX Install it's old.
When done Installing DON'T START THE GAME.
Now download my fixed 1.20 Patch that works on 32 and 64 bit systems.
Install 1.20 patch.
If all good it should say "Upgrade completed succesfully."
Yes successfully is spelled wrong blame the patch maker not me.
Now find the game folder and make shortcut to comm2.exe on the desktop.
Right click on the shortcut.
Click Properties and choose run in Maximized window*.
Now choose tab Compatibility* and tic Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 2000*
For me it worked better without Run as admin* ticked, try for your self.
Now Start the Game.
U probably end up whit a black screen and the text "Checking Performance"
Press Alt + TAB to get out of the checking screen.
Press Esc to end all movies.
Go to Options and choose 1024 x 768 the highest setting.
The game is probably in Windowed mode so Exit Game and restart it.
Now the Game should be in Full screen.
When u got all your settings right its time to play.
If u got a friend that also got the game u can play Online or LAN with him.
Easiest way to play Online is to use GameRanger.
Install GameRanger and make account.
Start GameRanger choose Host and put in your settings.
Your friend should see your game and connect.
Press Start when all is in and choose your settings in game.
